“Embracing Abby: Debunking the Myth that Abyssinian Cats Are Unaffectionate” by Jo-An Torres

Abby Cat Love ..Don’t Believe That Cats Are Not Affectionate

If you’ve ever owned a cat, or know someone who has, you’ve probably heard of the stereotype that cats are aloof and not affectionate. However, I am here to tell you that this couldn’t be further from the truth. At least, not in the case of my Abby Cats.

My husband Dean and I are proud owners of not just one, but five Abby Cats. Abyssinians to be exact. Their names are Love, Jo-An, Torres, and they are all sweet, loving creatures who couldn’t get enough of our attention.

I have always been a cat person, so when Dean suggested we get one for our home, I was beyond excited. Little did I know that one cat would turn into five, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Each of our Abby Cats has their own unique personality, but they all have one thing in common – they are all lovers.

From the moment we brought them home, they were all over us, purring and rubbing against us as if to say thank you for rescuing them. They follow us around the house, sit on our laps, and even cuddle with us at night. They are truly a part of our family, and we couldn’t imagine our lives without them.

So if you ever hear someone say that cats are not affectionate, just point them in the direction of my Abby Cats. They will show you just how loving and sweet these creatures can be. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
